What types of document formats do you accept?

We prefer documents in Microsoft® Word® format, as we do the editing in track changes mode. For any other supporting material such as photographs and illustrations, we prefer high resolution image files in JPEG or TIFF formats.

If you have created your manuscript using another format and would like to know if we can edit your manuscript using that format, please contact us.

What happens to my manuscript after I upload it to your site?

Once we receive your file, we will determine the exact number of words it contains and then send you an official quote with the turnaround time required to edit your manuscript. If you confirm the order and after we have receive the necessary payment from you, we will immediately start the editing process. After the editing process is complete, we will send you the edited manuscript for your feedback.

How do I upload my manuscript on SAGE MILES platform?

To upload your manuscript, you need to register on our SAGE MILES website if you haven’t already. Once registered, log in to your account and fill in the required details.

I want to publish my article in a SAGE journal. Can you process it?

SAGE MILES provides editing services only. We do not make any decisions on whether your article will be published in a SAGE journal or not. For that, you will need to contact the Journal Editor or the Editorial Board of the journal of your choice. We will help you edit your article as per the journal specifications and make it publication-ready.

I want to publish my article in a peer-reviewed journal. How can you assist me in this?

SAGE MILES provides editing services only. We do not take decisions on whether your article will be published in a journal or not. For that, you will need to contact the Journal Editor or the Editorial Board of the journal of your choice. We will help you edit your article as per the journal specifications and make it publication-ready.

My article has been accepted in a non-SAGE journal but it needs language editing. Do you accept articles meant for non-SAGE journals?

Yes. Our services are available for journal articles across the world, irrespective of the publication house.

If I use your service, will my manuscript be definitely accepted for publication?

While it is our goal and obligation to correct and refine the use of English in your scholarly manuscript, we cannot guarantee that your manuscript will be definitely accepted for publication once we have edited it for you.

Acceptance of your manuscript lies solely within the domain of the peer review group and/or the editor of the publication that you have submitted it to. Further, we are unable to make any judgement regarding the quality of your manuscript's content or the possibility of its acceptance to a particular publication.

I have prepared a rough lay-out for an article, the content of which needs to be developed in an article format. How can you assist me?

SAGE MILES is essentially an editing service. We are not involved in Content Writing. We will be able to assist you once you have written the required content for the article.

I want to translate my article into English. How can you assist me?

SAGE MILES deals with contents written only in English. We do not provide translation service.

Do you edit references?

Yes, as part of our Copyediting service, we validate all references, cross-check their in-text citations, and format them as per the journal's specifications.

I want to keep my document confidential. How can you certify it?

SAGE is a reputed international publishing house. We have a state-of-the-art network infrastructure, which is tested for security. When you upload your manuscript, only our editor and you will have a view of the same. The content will remain confidential – all our employees are under NDA. Our technology infrastructure, along with adequate controls, are in place for security of our network. Rest assured, we will ensure that your document remains confidential and safe with us.

Can you guarantee that my personal information and manuscript will be protected from theft?

Absolutely! We recognize how important everyone's privacy is. All our editors are in-house employees and are bound by SAGE Code of Conduct and ethical values to maintain privacy. The data on the servers is backed-up daily and our IT network is closely monitored at all times. Plus, our documents storage have multiple levels of authentication, making sure that your information and documents are safe with SAGE.

I want to pay after my article has been edited. Is that possible?

No. Full payment is required in advance for all individual articles.

What is the turnaround time for an article?

For an average article of 5000-10000 words, we take approximately 7-10 working days for editing. For more clarity, visit this page.

What should I do if I am having difficulty uploading my file?

Please ensure that you are a registered user and that you have logged into your personal account. Next, make sure that your document complies with one of our accepted document format. If you are logged in and the document you are attempting to upload is in MS Word and you are still experiencing difficulties, please contact us.

If I cancel my order and I no longer need the service, would I get a refund on the amount paid?

Please ensure that you require our services and have clarity on all aspects before you make a payment. Once you have paid, our editors would start work on your document and no refunds will be processed.
